Potimarrons are a winter squash popular in household gardens in France, but easy to grow just about anywhere – and these ones grew in our garden.
They do have some carbs (6.5g in 100g) but they are so small that the amount of flesh in half a potimarron is modest.
Instructions
- Chop the top and bottom off the potimarrons so they can sit flat
- Halve the potimarrons and put each half upturned into a muffin tin.
- Scoop out the seeds
- Put a little butter in each half and put in a 180C (350F) oven
- After about 15 mins test the potimarron with a knife point, and once they are tender they are ready
